Many people do not like to face the truth. The truth is offensive to many. The world has programmed many people into believing lies that are usually presented as if they are truth, yet it is a counterfeit. Many people like living their lives in a comfortable manner doing whatever they want, and do not like to hear anything that may disrupt their comfortable lifestyles.
The truth is offensive to many. Many people become hostile when they are told the truth. Pride has set inside many people’s hearts and they do not want to hear that what they have believed most of their lives may in fact be lies.
Many people want to appear as if they know a lot about life and will present themselves in an arrogant and prideful manner because they do not want to be seen as weak.
The world is very deceived, and many people rejoice and are haughty in their deception, not recognizing that they are under the control of the father of all lies, the devil. Many people’s eyes have been blinded and they happily follow other blind people to destruction.
When some people are told the truth about something, they start attacking the person who has told them the truth. They may start attacking the character of that person, or attack the way that person looks, or attack a certain aspect of the past deeds of that person; they attack with degrading words and actions in an effort to bring down the person who has told them the truth. The truth is offensive to many.
Many people live a lie and they try to deceive and manipulate other people with carefully calculated words and actions. They somehow think that no one will find out about their acts.
Many people will appear ‘nice’, but their ‘niceness’ is conditional, as long as the other person does not confront them about aspects of their life that seem crooked. The truth is offensive to many. Many people are masters in manipulation and will present an image of themselves that is acceptable to the public, yet all that is a cover-up.
Too many people manipulate their way into getting what they desire in life. They will appear very respectful, very caring, they will even appear as if they love the other person, yet, all that is a mask.
Such people especially target vulnerable people because the vulnerable are easy prey for them. They can put on a mask for years and are usually very good at it. If a person is not discerning or if their heart is after the things of this world, they will be easily deceived. However, once such a person meets someone who sees them for who they really are and discern their wicked ways, that person’s true colors come out full-blown.
When such deceptive people realize that they have been exposed for who they are, their real selves come to the surface. Some turn very abusive and will say things that leave one wondering if they are the same people who appeared to have it all together.
Once they are exposed, most see no reason to continue pretending and the fruit of their lives starts manifesting in the open. Such people become vulgar, slanderous, degrading, they start spreading lies about the other person, they start turning their friends and family against the other person, some even pretend to be the victims in order to elicit pity from others. In order to protect their image, such people try to destroy the image of the other person. It is hypocrisy at its highest point, a person pretending to be who they are not. The truth is offensive to many.
Such people are the same ones who even turn against their victims and try to harm them because their ego and pride have been crushed. Beware of such people and keep away from them. The truth is offensive to many.
Take time to get to know people, do not just rely on what they say or do because all that may just be an act.
Pray for discernment and look out for the fruits of their lives, whether they are of the Spirit or of the flesh. Do not be hasty, be content in God, and do not rush out of God’s timing for your life. If you are not content then you will be easily deceived because you will be presented with a counterfeit version of what you desire and you will easily fall for it.
Too many people have been deceived because of impatience.
We all have desires in our hearts but if we do not know Who to take our desires to, then the enemy will take that opportunity to attack our lives. In addition, our desires should be aligned with God’s Word. If what you desire is contrary to God’s Word, then that means it is not God’s will for your life.
Do not make your desires into an idol because if you do, you will end up sinning in order to achieve your heart’s desires. Anything you make into an idol, no matter how good it appears to be, starts controlling and driving your life. Always be in alignment with God’s Word.
It is okay to desire a spouse, or children, or a house, or a good job, and such like, but if getting those things is what drives your life, then you are out of order. If God is not the first priority in your life, then those things you are pursuing might end up being your downfall.
Desires that are not placed under subjection to God open the door for the enemy into your life.
If you crave a spouse too much, then the enemy will use that as an opening to access your life and may end up giving you a counterfeit version of a spouse who will end up destroying your life. The same applies to any other desire you may have that is not submitted to God.
It is never acceptable to want someone or something so much that you are willing to go against God’s Word to get that person or that thing that you want.
If there is anyone or anything that is driving you away from God, then that person or that thing should not be in your life. Never sacrifice your relationship with God for anything or anyone in this world. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and when you do, all other things shall be added unto you. When God blesses you, you shall be blessed indeed, and when He opens doors for you, no man can close.
Become a person who is receptive to the truth. God’s Word is truth. Do not try to be wise in your own eyes.
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! Woe to men mighty at drinking wine, woe to men valiant for mixing intoxicating drink, who justify the wicked for a bribe, and take away justice from the righteous man! Therefore, as the fire devours the stubble, and the flame consumes the chaff, so their root will be as rottenness, and their blossom will ascend like dust; because they have rejected the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel. Isaiah 5:20-24.
Humble yourself before God, be teachable, and become a person who is willing to receive correction.
Do not be offended when someone approaches you with the truth. When you are in error, amend your ways; do not try to prove a point to the other person, do not try to prove how ‘untouchable’ you are. Do not take offense when faced with the truth about a certain aspect of your life.
It takes a lot of humility for a person to admit that they were wrong or to ask for forgiveness even when it was the other person who was in the wrong, yet, that is the attitude that pleases God. When you humble yourself, then God will lift you up in due time.
Do not try to fight battles of this world with flesh and blood because if you do, you will lose. Rather, clothe yourself with humility and put on the armor of God, that guarantees you victory. Let your sword be the Word of God. Do not be like the world that uses vulgar words and degrading actions to fight back. Let your life be a testimony that you are a true child of God.
Blessings.
