God is our sustainer; God’s sustaining power. During those moments when we feel weak, during those moments when we feel fragile, those moments when people have hurt us to the core, during those moments when people run away from us, during those moments when people are talking about us, during those moments when we feel like we have no friends because everyone we thought was our friend disappeared, during those moments when we feel lonely, during those moments when people turn against us, during those moments when things seem to be going all wrong, during those moments when we face loss, during those moments when people laugh at us, during those moments when we lose our jobs, during those moments when relationships fail, during those moments when our health is not good, during those moments when most people seem to be against us or dislike us or even hate us, during life’s storms; during such times, we come to know God’s sustaining power.
During those times, we realize we are never alone, we have a God who is with us every step of the way. During such times, we feel the hand of God holding us; His sustaining power on us. During such times, we come to know God in a personal way.
The inner man affects the outer man. When the spirit is crushed, it reflects on the outside.
Our inner man, spirit and soul, is who we really are, not the outer body. God saves those crushed in spirit. During such times, we come to realize what total surrender really means. We come to realize God is our everything, He is everything we need; He is our source, He is our creator, He is our Father. When we draw nigh to God, He draws nigh to us.
For thus says the High and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, ‘I dwell on a high and holy place, and also with the contrite and lowly of spirit in order to revive the heart of the contrite. Isaiah 57:15.
God revives us! We are God’s dwelling place.
The Bible says that the Lord sustains all who fall and raise up all those who are bowed down. God is our sustaining power. Trust in God’s sustaining power for you.
The Lord is close to all those who call on Him, yes, to all who call on Him in truth. Psalm 145:18.
God sets on high those who are lowly and those who mourn are lifted to safety. God is a good good God. He is not human that He should lie, He does not go back on His Word, His Word does not return to Him void without accomplishing its purpose. We stand on the promises of God. In God, we have a solid Rock.
When all other ground is sinking, in God we are secure. He loves us with an everlasting love. He is the source of everything, in Him we lack nothing.
“For My hand made all these things, thus all these things came into being,’ declares the Lord, ‘But to this one I will look, to him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My Word” Isaiah 66:2.
Jesus is enough, Jesus sustains us, Jesus is with us even when everyone around us seems to be against us. May we learn to worship God regardless of our circumstances. We are to stand on the promises of God; He does what He says He will do. God does not delight in sacrifice or burnt offering, the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart. He will turn our sorrow into joy.
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have loosed my sackcloth and girded me with gladness, that my soul may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever. Psalm 30:11-12.
God is our shield, He is the One who lifts up our heads. The Lord loves the righteous.
He raises the poor from dust, He lifts the needy from the ash heap to make them sit with the nobles, and inherit a seat of honor; for the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and He set the world on them. 1 Samuel 2:8.
God’s got us!
Blessings.
