God remains God; whether we are happy or sad, whether we are celebrating or mourning, whether we are reaping or sowing, whether we have a job or we do not have a job, whether we have children or we do not have a child even after trying for so long, whether we are married, single, widowed, or divorced, whether we are suffering with diseases and illnesses or we are healthy, whether we have friends or we do not have friends, whether there are natural disasters or there is peace, whether we are discontent or giving thanks; in every circumstance, God remains God.
God is who He says He is, He does what He says He will do, and His Word remains.
We need to realize that God remains God and He loves us. Knowing that then, we should be able to stand on His Word, and we should be able to speak the Word of God into our circumstances. The Word of God is our sword. God is still God, He is still on the throne.
We live in a world where we are told its god is Satan, and because of that, attacks do come and will come. We need to realize that Satan is our enemy and God is our friend. We need to know we are fighting spiritual battles.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against spiritual forces of evil in heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12.
We have to realize that Satan has strategies aimed at destroying us, we have to know we are up against an enemy who does not care for us. We have to know what we are fighting against. Instead of complaining and murmuring, we should instead be busy putting on the full armor of God – truth, righteousness, readiness of the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.
We need to get off ourselves, we need to get off self-pity, we need to get off fear, we need to get off shame, guilt, and condemnation, we need to get off rejection; Jesus already overcame all, by the blood of Jesus we have the assurance of victory. We need to stop blaming God for our problems and get up and start fighting, pray and fast, and get into the Word of God.
We need to stop viewing ourselves as victims and instead know that we are victors in Jesus Christ.
The devil is already defeated, what he does is introduce lies in our minds to make us start doubting the finished work of God on the cross. The enemy is already defeated! We need to know our authority and stand in that authority. Our authority is Jesus.
With and in Jesus Christ we have everything we need. The cross of Jesus is a representation of the finished work of God. Jesus came sinless, died sinless, took up all our sins, and then He was raised from the dead. He defeated all the darkness of this world. He now sits at the right hand side of our Father.
Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place, and gave Him the name above all names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11.
May we learn to live a life of thanksgiving regardless of our circumstances. By prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, we present our requests to God.
Blessings.
